University news:

UCAS (application site) status has changed. My future may be on the tracking page, and I'm bricking it. I haven't been this scared since I saw my dentist holding a great big needle and heading for my gums.

Eeek.

Am I the only person who's totally sick of hearing people slag off actresses. I've lost count of the number of comments and posts I've read about Bonnie Wright being 'boring' or 'plain.' Yeah, I think you call that normal, just like the casting people were looking for. Personally, I think she's pretty and looks better than most people. She looks like a real person, not some fake idiot.
Emma Watson also seems to take some heat, I've read posts calling her 'fake' and even one claiming she had a 'superior smirk.' So what fi she does? She's worth millions, is still going to uni, and is going to do great.

Lay off of these people. They make money, they go to uni and college. They're brilliant examples of doing well and staying grounded.

Vampires or werewolves?

View 502 Answers

Werewolves all the way. You only have to worry about them trying to kill you one day a month, while if a vampire gets too hungry you should run. Plus, if it's a Potterverse werewolf, wolfsbane lets them keep their minds, so they won't rip you to bits. And they're cooler than vampires.

I saw the movie tonight.

Awesome. It was so good, but really depressing at the end.

One word of advice, Jessie Cave, who plays Lavender, will make you want to scrape your brain out with a spoon. She's a decent actress, but the character is insufferable.

Rupert Grint really shines, as does Emma Watson, but Radcliffe pales in comparison to their roles. Bonnie Wright is also brilliant.

Although there is only one scene including them, Natalia Tena and David Thewlis who play Nymphadora Tonks and Remus Lupin, have a touching scene between their characters. Watch out for Greyback, he'll make your skin crawl.

Writer's Block: Don't Call It a Comeback

The French term "l'esprit de l'escalier," which translates literally as "the wit of the staircase," refers to those perfect, clever comebacks that you only think of after the fact. What's the best came-too-late comeback you've ever had?
